Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect your message to be about?

1

Israelis and Palestinians have a right to work and learn free of discrimination, in equality and dignity.

Can I support Palestinians and fight Jew hatred too?

2

Yes.

Do I have to “be a Zionist” or “support Israel” in order to understand and stand up to antizionist hate and discrimination?

3

No, you don’t need to identify as a “Zionist” or have a position on Israel to be empowered to protect equity and dignity for your Jewish and Israeli neighbors.

Why are you talking about antizionism and not antisemitism?

4

Antisemitism and antizionism both construct a false stereotype of Jews using contemporary societal anxieties and fashionable terms (“semites”; “zionists”) in order to justify discrimination and violence. Because these stereotypes are distinct, and are produced by distinct ideologies, it is crucial to accurately identify antizionism as the driver of most anti-Jewish harm today. This distinction is discussed in detail in our educational materials.

Are you affiliated with a political party or movement?

5

No. The Center for Antizionism Education is an independent, nonpartisan education initiative and is not affiliated with any political party or political movement. We are committed to equity, dignity, and inclusion of all people.
